UNIT 29

The first meeting of the season of Unit 29 will be held on September 15, 2010 at 7:30 pm in the Parlour at MRUC.

All women are welcomed. Please bring your suggestion for a new name for the group.

SUNDAY MORNING COFFEE VOLUNTEERS

We urgently need volunteers to help prepare refreshments at fellowship time after the worship service on Sundays. Your participation is a way to engage actively in providing a warm and welcoming ambience for current members and visitors.  If you are interested in keeping this activity as part of our fellowship, please put your name on the list at the coffee table in Lynn Hall.

 

SUMMER =YULETIDE FAIR

Summer time is a good time to do those forgotten crafts, make jams and jellies. Remember to make some for the Yuletide Fair.

 

SCHOOL SUPPLIES FOR ST. COLUMBA HOUSE

Needed for Fall 2010.  Drop them off at 2365 Grand Trunk St.,

Pointe St. Charles or bring them to Presbytery by Sept. 14.

YOU CAN HELP COCLA!

COCLA is always in need of housewares to help immigrant and refugee families get established. Pots and pans, dishes, cutlery, bedding, small appliances, furniture – clean and in working order – are appreciated. To donate items, call George Young or Ann Laughlin Stanfield.

Do you like to cook? COCLA could use your help teaching new arrivals how to make nutritious and economical meals for their families at a community kitchen very close by in St. Laurent once a month this fall.
